Introduction: In an area of hilly topography with less soil depth, the land may be utilized for raising livestocks. The demand of animals for meat, milk, etc. is in a rising trend every now and then, not only in the district but also in other parts of the state. Thus offers scope for commercial production. The management and care of animals has in fact mandatory for raising the numbers of animal and in turn increase their productivity. Livestock based farming system has potential for substantial return.
